1. Day TULEAR – BETIOKY – ANAKAO.
Passing by the tropic of Capricorn, overlooking the Onilahy River, spiny bush adapted to long periods of dryness, characteristic of the South. Along the road, we can see typical Mahafaly and Antandroy’s tombs. Magnificent « aloalo »: poles made of carved wood with geometrical design on the top of which we see naive daily life scenes.

Lunch at Betioky, well-known for its convivial welcome. Visit of craftsman’s shops, typically Mahafaly: good souvenirs. We take this track to Ambatry, good track which offers many interests : a various vegetation, a gallery forest where we see a lot of Tamarindus, liana…….
Then , forest of baobab and , not so far from Anakao, in a sandy track, the forest of the south is characterised by the DIDIERA TROLII.
A tour punctuated by the discovery of numerous birds and groups of Guinea fowls.
Accommodation on half- board basis at the hotel.

2. Day ANAKAO – TSIMANAPETSOTRA – ANAKAO .
By the coast, superb beach ornamented by a fringe of grassy savannah. Visit of the « blind fishes » grotto : Typhleotris Madagascariensis. Important resident population of birds in the lake: couas, «pink flamingo», « crested coot »……. Picnic lunch.

Back to Anakao in the afternoon.
Accommodation on half- board basis at the hotel.

3. Day ANAKAO
Free day. Vezo fisherman’s village. A barrier of corals incomparably wonderful, shelters a beautiful lagoon with all shapes of shellfishes and corals.
Free lunch.
Accommodation on half- board basis at the hotel.

4. Day ANAKAO – TULEAR.
Back to Tuléar by boat.
