Built
on a small peninsula, Fort-Dauphin is one the most beautiful and
popular destination in Madagascar. Fort-Dauphin offers a variety
of exceptional and interesting excursions and some fine beaches.
The road to Berenty crosses rugged green mountains, vast sisal plantations,
and spiny forest. The Reserve of Berenty is famous for its population
of tailed lemurs and Sifaka , big variety
of birds and endemic vegetation.

Day Arrival at FORT - DAUPHIN
Transfer to the hotel.
Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day FORT - DAUPHIN – BERENTY.
Rather bad road but offers a large scenic interest.
After a luxuriant vegetation and the discovery of carnivorous plants,
crossing the spiny bushes characteristic of the Malagasy South.
Paradise of botanists with its extraordinary variety of euphorbiaceace,
unique in the world. The famous baobab, « mother of the forest"
. Antanosy’s funeral figures with memorial stones of the died
people.
On the way, great plantations of sisal.
Accommodation on full- board basis at the hotel.
First incursion into the forest.

Day BERENTY – FORT - DAUPHIN.
Early in the morning, incursion into the reserve, which offers a very
big interest for the ecotourists: 340 HA, along the river Mandrare,
a private reserve created in 1936 by a French family.
Fauna and flora of a gallery forest: lemurs, turtles, and a big variety
of endemic birds. A museum inside this famous forest which shows:
musical instruments, Antandroy’s soul. Lunch.
Visit of a sisal fabric to see how we transform the sisal.
Then, back to Fort-Dauphin.
Dinner and night at the hotel.

Day FORT - DAUPHIN.
Excursion to LOKARO bay with picnic lunch
Dinner and night at the hotel.
5.
Day FORT - DAUPHIN – ANTANANARIVO.
Transfer to the airport for the flight to Antananarivo .
